Torraccia del Piantavigna is a winery located in Ghemme, in Upper Piedmont, at the foot of Monte Rosa. Here, in a region with a strong winemaking vocation, red, white and rosé wines and Traditional Method sparkling wines are created to express the identity of the Novara Hills and the renowned appellations of Upper Piedmont.
The winery grows traditional native grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Vespolina and white grape varieties permitted by the Production Regulations, directly overseeing every stage of winemaking, ageing and bottling in its own cellars.
From Ghemme D.O.C.G. and Gattinara D.O.C.G. to Upper Piedmont D.O.C. wines, every Torraccia del Piantavigna label is born from the dialogue between the land, grapes, climate and cellar craftsmanship.

38 Hectares of Native Grape Varieties in Upper Piedmont
Torraccia del Piantavigna is located in Ghemme, in Upper Piedmont, at the foot of Monte Rosa, one of Italy’s most iconic mountains. With 38 hectares of vineyards dedicated to native grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Erbaluce, the winery produces, ages and bottles excellent red, white and rosé wines directly in its own cellars.
This wine is renowned for its elegance and complexity and has long been appreciated for its richness, structure and intense aromas. It reaches its full potential after a suitable period of ageing, captivating even the most refined palates.
Gattinara stands out for the distinctive composition of its rocky, porous volcanic soil. This environment gives the wine an austere character, vigorous tannins and remarkable complexity.
An Expression of Terroir. The Novara Hills are renowned for wines that reflect the influence of their fluvial-alluvial soils, producing wines distinguished by depth, complexity and uniqueness.
Erbavoglio Traditional Method Dosage Zero is an elegant sparkling wine made exclusively from Erbaluce grapes. Our ancestors called this white nectar “Greco”, an evocative name celebrating the Mediterranean and Hellenic roots of this ancient grape variety.
