Uncle Lino founds his own distillery in Ghemme

Luigi Francoli

takes over the company from his uncle, starting Distilleria Luigi Francoli and is joined by his four younger brothers in a few years time.

The first family’s vineyard

is planted. These are the foundations for the birth of Torraccia del Piantavigna.

1983
The Francoli Center

showroom (today called CasaFrancoli) opens in Ghemme, right in front of the distillery.

1999
Francoli USA

starts trading in California.

2005
La Valdôtaine

micro distillery in the Alps and producer of premium Saint Marcel hams, joins the Group.

2006
Distillerie Francoli

becomes the first Impatto Zero® Grappa distillery.

Thirsty Camel

founded in New Zealand.
