The Tenuta Rocca winery is situated in the heart of the Langhe Hills, at Ornati near Monforte d’Alba.
The estate has just under 40 acres of vineyards. From 1986 it was run by brothers Bruno and Gianni Rocca, who, over the years, gradually modernised the vineyards. Since 2011, it has been run by Gianni and his son Andrea, who is specialised in wine-making techniques.
This extensive farm dates back to the 18th century. Recently it underwent major restoration and is now even more splendid. The state-of-the-art wine-cellar has underground rooms that ensure the optimum conditions for ageing and refining wine, proof of the commitment, passion and determination of the local farmers, who produce such excellent wine here in the Langhe hills south of Alba.
For a high-profile comparison, and well aware of the excellent results that the winery has achieved so far and is hoping to improve in the future, for some time now, the winery has benefited from the technical collaboration of agronomist Dr. Gian Piero Romana and oenologist Piero Ballario.
